Fully integrated planning system or spreadsheets? How does planning work in your company?
The big BI vendors like SAP, IBM or Microsoft offer sophisticated planning tools. In addition specialized planning tools are available that offer a wide set of functionalities out of the box. The most common planning tool is still MS Excel. It offers great flexibility and is widely accepted by users. For central departments, however, it is difficult to ensure a consistent and integrated planning with it.
